Statistical Yearbook of Bangladesh – 2015 (35th Edition)

The Statistical Year Book Bangladesh is a regular annual publication of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics and this edition is 35 th of its kind. It provides a wide range of data to its stakeholders on socio - economic and socio - demographic situation of Bangladesh in a comprehensive and systemat ic manner. In this publication a data are presented in fifteen chapters which include General Features and Environment, Area, Population & Household, Labor and Manpower, Agriculture, Industry, Energy, Transport and Communication, Foreign Trade, Banking & Insurance, Price and Wages, National Income, Education, Health & Family Planning, Consumption, Household Income and Expenditure. We are hopeful that this publication would be a useful public document for all stakeholders including policy ma kers, researchers and academicians. The main challenge to prepare this publication is availability of data f rom secondary sources. However, my deep gratitude is extended to the officials of data provider agencies for their best cooperation.
