Hayat Saif

Hayat Saif was born in 1942 in Dhaka. He did his Masters Degree in English from Dhaka University in 1965. He has published several collections of poems in Bangla- Living with Violence, Leaving Behind Everything, Chiefly About Man and the Earth, and, This Side and That. Selected Poems is his second publication in English, the first being The Voice of Hayat Saif. Most recently, he represented Bangladesh at the Medellin International Poetry Festival in Colombia, South America.
