Report on Wholesale & Retail Trade Survey, 2009-10

The Wholesale and Retail Trade Survey is one of the imperative activities of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics which is conducted under Industry and Labour Wing as integrated program of Economic survey. Previously such data was captured in the name of Annual Establishments and Institutions Survey 1992-93, 1993-94, 1995-96, 1996-97 and 2002-03 respectively. The Wholesale and Retail Trade Survey report presents detailed intonation on the establishments and persons engaged industrial & non-industrial cost, employment cost, Gross output, Gross value added and value added at factor cost etc. of wholesale and retail trade sector. The survey data are needed for national accounting and other policy and management purpose. The publication of this report is delayed for critical review of the report by the data users, particularly of the officials of national accounting wing with regard to value addition and intermediate consumption.
