Alaka Halder

Alaka Halder was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She spent a part of her childhood in Edinburgh, Scotland, where her first poem appeared in the Poetic Voyages (2001), and anthology of poems by school-going children. Her works have since been published in the literary supplements of national dailies, such as, the Daily Star and the Independent in Bangladesh, and in the Broooklyn Voice (www.broklynvoice.com), and American online literary magazine, Alaka is an Advanced A level student at European Standard School, She enjoys debating, performing arts, reading, and participation in community service activities in her free time.
