As an official of the administrative cadre, he has served at grassroots level and earned substantial amount of field knowledge about land issues including the real causes and consequences of land litigation in rural Bangladesh. He is currently director, Economic theory, Bangladesh public administration training centre, government of Bangladesh. He has published articles on land, poverty and human development.
