Abdul Mabud Khan

An alumnus of the University of Dhaka, Dr. Abdul Mabud Khan received his M.A. degree in History from the University of Rajshahi and did his M.Phil. on the Buddhist Communities in Bangladesh at the Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka. Later he got the degree of Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Calcutta. An author of several research papers on the tribals of Bangladesh like the Rakhaines, Marmas, Chakmas and Mros Dr. Khan has already established himself as a distinguished historian and cultural anthropologist. His interests also include Buddhism in Bangladesh, India and Southeast Asia. He visited many Buddhist historical sites in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Thailand. Dr. Khan started his teaching career at the Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka and is currently an Associate Professor, Department of History, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh.
