Munaz Ahmed Noor

Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor, is a Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka. He received BSc degree in Civil Engineering and MSc degree in Structural Engineering from BUET, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He was awarded University Gold Medal for best academic performance. Earlier he was awarded the Presidential Gold Medal for securing first position in the combined merit list of the HSC examination. He was awarded a scholarship by the Asian Development Bank t study civil engineering at the University of Tokyo, Japan where he received his PhD in 2000. During the past decade he participated in numerous earthquake and concrete material related private and public projects. He contributed to and conducted many seminars and short courses on earth quake engineering and concrete technology in Bangladesh.
