This 200-page document is the full technical report of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) 2006, including detailed information on methodology. The report also contains results at national and division level on subjects including nutrition, child health, water and sanitation, reproductive health, education, HIV/AIDS and child protection. The Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, known as Progotir Pathey, is a UNICEF-developed household survey which aims to fill data gaps for monitoring human development, particularly relating to children and women. With technical support from UNICEF, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) conducted the 2006 survey among a total of 62,463 households. It provides disaggregated data down to district level on a large number of socioeconomic indicators.
