Foreign Trade Statistics of Bangladesh, 2011-2012: Volume -1 & 2

Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has been publishing the Foreign Trade Statistics (FTS) since 1973-74 regularly in order to ensure due coverage of foreign trade data. This publication provides 'Key Foreign Trade Statistics' which gives an overview of the foreign trade of Bangladesh at a glance and 'Key Statistical Tables' depict detailed foreign trade statistics on export and import for the fiscal year 2011-2012. This is the 26th issue of this publication. It is mentionable that the publication presents disaggregated data to the possible extent on foreign trade following Harmonised Commodity Description and Coding System (HS code). The data compiled in this report is collected from National Board of Revenue (NBR). Although BBS used to collect some export and import documents from various customs stations to ensure complete coverage of foreign trade but for the present issue, single data source is NBR. Because it brings all the generated in various customs stations under their documentation. This edition has got two parts: Volume-I having five tables with export data and Volume-II containing four tables with import data.
